The telephone service is very reliable and long distance calls are very inexpensive. This villa is located in the quiet town of Santa Fe (pop. 2300), in Veraguas Province, Panama. Santa Fe enjoys a unique micro-climate. The daily tempurature can range from 60 to 89º F degrees within a day, with fresh winds and tropical showers most of the year. This climate results in lush environs and an abundance of fresh fruit. The area offers access to numerous nature hikes to waterfalls and mountain destinations. Several river trips and horseback rides are available through most of the year. The founder of a local environmental group uses his extensive knowledge as a guide to the region and its natural resources. The city of Santiago (Panama's 4th largest city) is situated little more than an hour to the south, accessible by bus or taxi, for business, banking and other services.
